How to Make Grandma Rose’s Mile High 2 Ingredient Biscuits
I try and make this biscuit recipe for special occasions and when my Littles are sad. So, on those special occasions I make these bright and early in the morning because they really fill little bellies well. It also helps so they are not breathing down my neck and I can have some time to get all of the stuff I need to complete done!
.. ..
I know some of us put our grandparents on a pedestal when we are children despite all of their faults, but I have some of the most amazing memories with both sets of my grandparents.
.. ..
Some of those great memories with my Grandma Rose (maternal grandmother) are of baking, cooking, and just doing country kid stuff. She couldn’t really afford to buy heavy whipping cream from the store very often so when she could afford it she would make these biscuits for me when I visited!!!

Grandma Rose’s Mile High 2 Ingredient Biscuits
Equipment
- Mixing bowl
- Baking Sheet or Cast Iron Skillet

Ingredients
- 3 cups Self-Rising Flour Unbleached
- 2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°
- Add all of the flour to your mixing bowl. Then add the cream to the flour 1/2 cup at a time. Keep adding the cream until the mixture becomes sticky and looks wet. It should be one big ball.
- Start scooping the dough into 2” balls. Then place them into your greased baking sheet or cast iron skillet.
- Brush the tops of each biscuit with the remaining cream.
- Bake the biscuits for about 10-12 minutes.
- Remove from oven, add LOTS of butter, and ENJOY!!!
Notes
- You will use less than the 2 cups of heavy whipping cream so make sure you only add 1/2 a cup of the cream at a time when mixing with the flour. Also, please pour slowly so as not to over saturate!
